Prof. Hichushi of  University of Tokyo Foreign Studies and IAU officials discussed effective strategies for promoting further cooperation between the two universities.

During the meeting, the Vice-president for Research, Dr. Hossein Zadeh Lotfi provided a brief on the  research and educational facilities of the SRBIAU highlighting the university high scientific capacity and its willingness  to fully cooperate with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies(  TUFS) , the SRBIAU Office of Public Relations (OPR) reports.

Referring to the suggested  cooperation between the SRBIAU Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature (FFLL) and the TUFS  and noting the existence of an operational MOU between  the IAU Shiraz Branch  and the TUFS Dr Hossinzadeh felt that a similar arrangement be made between FELL and TUFS. It was agreed to have a further meeting between Prof. Hichushi and the  academic staffs of the FFLL to hammer out the details of the cooperation between the respectivebodies.  The Chancellor of the IAU Shiraz Branch, Dr. Saruei assessed their educational-research cooperation with TUFS fruitful and sought closer relations .  Regarding a suggestion that TUFS and the Shiraz Branch hold a joint international conference, Prof. Hichushi informed that appropriate measures had already  been taken to ensure permission from Japan government for organizing the conference.

The OPR further adds that in addition Prof. Hichushi, Dr. Hossein Zadeh Lotfi, and Dr. Saruei, the meeting was participated by  Dr. Vasseghi, Shiraz Branch Vice-chancellor for  Research, Dr. Ghaffarzadeh, the SRBIAU General Director of International Affairs, and Dr. Hayati Ashtiani, Dean of the FFLL.
